Star Trek will soon rewrite one of The Original Series ’ most controversial, but best, episodes. Airing in Star Trek’s first season, “The City on the Edge of Forever,” ranks as one of the franchise’s finest hours. Now, in the forthcoming Star Trek: Deviations: Threads of Destiny , Uhura uses the Guardian of Forever to travel back to Earth’s dark past.
Star Trek: Deviations: Threads of Destiny will be written by Stephanie Williams and drawn by Greg Maldonado, and is a “what if?” take on “The City on the Edge of Forever.”
Uhura, instead of traveling back to 1930s America, lands in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
