The Lakers’ front office shakeups under new owner Mark Walter have begun with two notable names on their way out.
Both Joey and Jesse Buss both been terminated from their executive roles, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN. The brothers have been with the franchise for two decades.
Here is the statement provided to Charania by the brothers:
“We are extremely honored to have been part of this organization for the last 20 seasons. Thank you to Laker Nation for embracing our family every step of the way. We wish things could be different with the way our time ended with the team. At times like this we wish we could ask our Dad what he would think about it all.”
Along with the Buss brothers, the Lakers also reportedly cleared out much of the scouting staff as well, according to multiple
