Portland police released body-cam footage of officers hitting a fleeing shooting suspect with a patrol car in Portland’s Lloyd neighborhood on Nov. 5.

Officer Bradley Clark, with Officer Roger Walsh in the passenger seat, struck 43-year-old Robert D. Hatley with the car on Grand Avenue after Hatley allegedly fired a gun along the busy street. Hatley was naked and appeared to be running from police, according to a Portland Police Bureau statement and the video footage the bureau released.

“I’m going to hit him,” Clark says in the video footage. “Run him over, dude,” Walsh replies.

The impact of the car apparently caused Hatley to drop a gun, and police arrested him a few blocks away after he got up following the crash and resumed running, body-camera footage shows.
