OWATONNA, Minn. — A jury has found Jason Lee Horner, 41 of Owatonna, guilty of murdering his former girlfriend, Sabrina Lee Schnoor. Steele County Attorney Robert Jarrett says Horner was convicted on five charges, including second-degree unintentional murder and third-degree murder. The verdict came after an eleven-day trial and roughly seven hours of jury deliberation. The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined Schnoor's death resulted from a gunshot wound to the mouth, consistent with homicide. Evidence indicated the firearm was removed before police arrived. Investigation revealed Horner and Schnoor walked the train tracks to an overpass under I-35, where Schnoor was killed.
