North West Ambulance Service has issued a statement following the death of The Stone Roses' and Primal Scream bassist Gary 'Mani' Mounfield.
The British rock musician, from Crumpsall, rose to fame after joining The Stone Roses in the 1980s, and has died aged 63. Tributes have since been flooding in across the music world after the announcement of his death was made on Thursday (November 20).
Tonight, North West Ambulance Service have confirmed that paramedics were called to a home in Heaton Moor Thursday morning. "Emergency crews attended a private address at 10.42am," said an ambulance service spokesperson.
