NEWARK - A new gym is coming to the ground floor of Ironbound's first high-rise apartment building with the mission of diversifying health and fitness options in Newark.

Alpha Fit Club, a boutique fitness studio offering circuit-style group training, has signed a long-term lease for 3,500 square feet at 55 Union in Newark’s Ironbound.

The space is scheduled to open to the public in January 2026.

Alpha Fit Club blends high-intensity interval training with total body strength training in group sessions. The fitness studio has locations in Westfield, Morristown, Basking Ridge, Short Hills, Livingston and Jersey City, among others.
