The LSU women’s soccer team’s second-round NCAA Tournament game has been pushed back a day because of forecasted weather in Nashville on Thursday.
The Tigers (14-5-4) and Hawkeyes (12-4-4) will now play at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. The winner will advance to take on the the survivor of Vanderbilt-Clemson, which was pushed back to 6 p.m. Friday, in the NCAA quarterfinals at 2 p.m. on Monday in Nashville.
LSU thumped Houston Christian 4-1 Friday to start the NCAA Tournament with Sariyah Bailey, a freshman forward from Canada, leading the way with two goals.
LSU’s lone loss in the last 12 games came to Vandy in the SEC championship game, which was decided on penalty kicks.
