CARTER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Delta Regional Authority announced nearly $10 million worth of investments in infrastructure spending in communities involved in major disaster declarations over the last two years.

In the Heartland, the DRA will invest in projects in Carter County, Missouri, and Ripley County, Tennessee.

In Carter County, more than $1 million will cover the cost of replacing extensive infrastructure damage caused by recurring flood and flash-flooding events in 2024. Funds will be used to improve structural integrity, enhance stormwater management, and increase infrastructure resilience against future flood events, making roadways safer and passable.

In Ripley County, more than $850,000 will help fund the replacement of two lift stations damaged by the flooding of Beaty C
