We asked high school volleyball fans in Lafayette Pariash and its surrounding areas to vote for who they thought was the top volleyball player hailing from the 337. The Lafayette High School community came through in waves voting Ella Larpenteur, earning the do-it-all junior the title of the 2025 Daily Advertiser Volleyball Player of the Year.

“I was really shocked but seeing me up there with really good volleyball players, I was really surprised,” Larpenteur said. “I don’t think I give myself credit for anything I just try to be as humble as possible and just play the game. So just seeing that my hard work paid off to get there just really shocked me.”

In an online poll that closed on Nov. 19, the Mighty Lions outside hitter received close to 30% of votes cast for a total of 63,606 vote
