Auburn football wide receiver Horatio Fields has not played since week 4 of the 2025 season after breaking his foot during the week of the Texas A&M game.

During Tuesday’s practice, Fields was doing drills with the wide receivers but did not participate in the team scrimmage period.

Interim coach DJ Durkin spoke on Fields progression and his chances at a possible return this season.

“Yeah, we’re still day to day with that. He’s doing a great job fighting like crazy to get back and squeeze every ounce to get himself where he can play,” Durkin said Thursday afternoon. “And so, we’ll keep taking that one day at a time. He was out there a little bit today. We’ll talk more with the trainers afterwards, and we’ll just keep treated that way.”
