The original '80s series, A Different World , was believed by many to be one of the best shows of its time. So, it's no surprise that Netflix chose to reboot it.

Several original cast members from the original A Different World run are returning. These include Tom Werner, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Debbie Allen, Kardeem Hardison, Jasmine Guy, and Reggie Bythewood. However, there is one very noticeable but not surprising person missing, Bill Cosby.

The actor is nowhere to be found when it comes to the production of the revival. Given Cosby's criminal history , including serving prison time for sexual assault before the conviction was overturned, his exclusion was more or less expected. But, as reported by Kim Masters at Puck , he might be more involved than most think.
