COLUMBUS, Ohio — Earlier this year, Paula Lambert went out on a limb for her big brother David's birthday gift.
"I joined Facebook to buy a car," Lambert said.
But these days, it's a present Lambert would rather leave in the past.
According to Lambert, they bought a Green 2017 Kia Soul in cash from a private owner in March.
She told 10 Investigates the sale itself went fine.
After they paid, Lambert said they went to a local dealer called Vzla Auto Sales LLC to transfer the title.
A temporary tag with that dealer's state-issued number on it was printed in her brother's name on March 20.
Then came the wait.
"We didn't really get nervous about it until it's been like a month," she said.
