AMES – There have been some position groups that have truly thrived at Iowa State football under coach Matt Campbell.

Breece Hall and David Montgomery established running back excellence. JaQuan Bailey and Will McDonald IV rewrote the record book from the edge rusher spot. Greg Eisworth and Beau Freyler were program stalwarts at safety. Allen Lazard, Hakeem Butler, Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins created a decade of excellence at wideout.
