PLAINS TWP. — River View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center held an open house on Thursday evening to show off their new and improved short-term rehabilitation unit. The facility will predominantly be serving those who are transitioning back to their home setting after undergoing treatment.
“This specific unit focuses on those [short-term] residents,” said Marina Sinelnikova, director of nursing at River View. “Activities will be different. The approach will be different. The type of patients who are there will be different.”
Though the patients are going to be on their way home, they still might need care around the clock. That is where a place like River View comes in to help.
The upgraded unit features several amenities, including a gym, dining room, and courtyard. Among the staff are a
