Michelle O'Prey, a 46 year old mum-of-two from Belfast, was left stunned when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August this year, a diagnosis that came without warning and left her young family in shock. ‌

Following major surgery at the end of September, Michelle is now on the road to recovery and preparing to start chemotherapy, reports Belfast Live . ‌

Living with her husband Gavin and their two children , Cara, aged six, and Rory, aged three, Michelle revealed that her symptoms began subtly over a year before her diagnosis, starting with intermittent pain in her upper abdomen. ‌
