BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Toys for Tots has 10 book nooks in the Commonwealth that provide community relief, and now Barren County has helped around 1,900 children in the county last year alone.

With the new book nook in downtown Glasgow, more kids will have the chance to pick up their own book and even a toy or two.

Janel Doyle, Toys for Tots coordinator, says “We are a year-round force for good now, not just at Christmas. And we want to promote love and literacy, and we can do that through the book nook.”

Toys for Tots inspired the Tennessee Valley Authority to take part in supporting local children and families by putting the book nook in Barren County.
