MADISON, Wis. --- Darlington High School football is no stranger to competing in the state championship game, but haven't been able to get over the hump. The Redbirds lost each of their last seven appearances in the state championship game, but left no doubt about it in 2025.
Darlington dominated Edgar, finishing the season as undefeated state champs. Their quarterback, Zeke Zuberbuhler, finished the game with four touchdowns, leading his Redbirds to the promise land. "You're playing on Camp Randall with the boys and it's just like flashbacks in my mind of, like, when Dante and I were kids in the backyard. Just running around having fun. It's just so fun," Zeke said.
