When Clairton first re-inaugurated Neil C. Brown Stadium as Tyler Boyd Stadium in mid-August there were many questions that needed answered.

Though the field, press box and lights were in place, the project was only halfway to completion. The other half would take time and monies that the struggling school district didn’t have on hand.

On Thursday, it got a tremendous boost toward project completion when, nearly three months after the initial ribbon-cutting ceremony, U.S. Steel presented Clairton a check for $500,000 to help phase two of the project commence.
