WALLA WALLA, Wash. – A 60-year-old man, identified as Luis Rojas-Ramirez, was arrested after allegedly assaulting paramedics at Capital Call Vineyards on November 14, 2025.

According to a police report, the Walla Walla Firefighters/Paramedics Department requested law enforcement assistance due to Rojas-Ramirez's aggressive behavior. Officer Matthew Greenland and Sgt. Smith responded to the call.

Upon their arrival, the officers learned from Firefighter/Paramedic Paul Renwick that Rojas-Ramirez, who was severely intoxicated, had struck him in the face while being escorted to an ambulance. Another paramedic, Bo Pingree, reported being struck in the torso and shoulder, and Rojas-Ramirez allegedly threatened him by mimicking holding a rifle.
