After eight months without a permanent city manager, the Yucaipa City Council is expected to appoint a new leader for City Hall .

According to a city staff report , the council selected Sean M. Moore, a municipal executive, after a series of interviews in closed session.

Moore has an “extensive background in city management, public administration, budgeting, and organizational leadership,” the report reads in part, though it does not specify where his experience was gained. Interim City Manager Jennifer Crawford said by email Thursday, Nov. 20, that more details about Moore will be released “upon City Council approval of the employment agreement.”

The council is expected to discuss the appointment at its meeting Monday, Nov. 24.
