WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl last seen on Thursday evening downtown.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, Alaysia Briella McDonald was last seen around 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 20 in the area of 201 N. Church Street.

McDonald is described as a Black female, about 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police said she has a “pom”-style hairstyle and was last seen wearing a light-colored zippered jacket, blue jeans and white shoes. She was also carrying a small backpack.

Investigators believe McDonald is traveling on foot. Police said there is currently no indication she is in immediate danger.
