LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Southwest Louisiana is taking steps to become a more accessible destination for travelers and residents. Visit Lake Charles partnered with Wheel the World, a global organization that evaluates how well businesses accommodate people with disabilities.
The group spent several days in the region assessing 20 restaurants, hotels, parks, and attractions. Their goal: to collect detailed accessibility data that can help visitors plan trips with confidence.
