The North Penn and Pennridge football teams met at Helman Field Sept. 19 with the result of that Week 5 contest the visiting Knights losing their second straight while the Rams remained undefeated and beat North Penn for the first time since 2012.
A little more than two months later, the two sides clash again at Helman, this time with the District 1 Class 6A championship on the line as top-seeded Pennridge hosts No. 2 North Penn Friday night at 7.
Winner advances to face either District 12 champ La Salle or District 11 champ Easton — which play 7 p.m. Friday at BASD Stadium at Liberty High School in Bethlehem — in the PIAA semifinals.
