Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief DK Shivakumar has defended the Delhi trip of several MLAs from the state. The MLAs, purportedly from DK Shivakumar’s camp, were speculated to have gone to meet the Congress high command to push for his elevation to the Chief Minister’s post as per the rumoured power-sharing formula between DKS and Siddaramaiah, as the Karnataka government hit its two-and-a-half-year mark on November 20.

Denying that the MLAs who went to Delhi were his supporters, DKS said, “All 140 MLAs are my MLAs. Making a group is not in my blood.”
