Writer-director Rian Johnson has finally addressed the internet’s deep desire for a Knives Out x The Muppets film. Sadly, it’s not great news.

With Johnson sharing he wants to continue the Knives Out instalments after the upcoming third murder mystery film , the internet has been pondering about where the whodunnits could go next.

For a while now, fans have been calling for Knives Out x The Muppets movie. “Okay so muppets knives out when,” one user posted .

Another shared last year: “Listen [Johnson] I may be three margaritas in but my neighbors and I want to know if the next Knives Out can be all Muppets except for Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc.”
