A car was stolen from a house in Brynmawr and then a few hours later police found it 25 miles away in Newport . Residents of Moorland Park in Lliswerry, Newport, have described being woken up by the chaos of flashing lights from police cars and police dogs descending on the road in the early hours of Friday morning.

One woman claims the suspect they were looking for was in her back garden, hiding in her son's playhouse. The stolen car, a Vauxhall Corsa, was allegedly stolen from a property on Alma Street, Brynmawr just hours earlier, at 11pm on Thursday.
