SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Vallejo man has been indicted for a second federal firearms offense. Marquese Alvin Roberts, 36, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

On May 3, 2025, law enforcement received reports of gunshots on the 1600 block of Fairgrounds Drive in Vallejo. Officers, with the help of a CHP helicopter, saw Roberts hide a firearm in bushes after removing it from a vehicle. They directed ground officers to arrest him and recover the weapon.

Roberts was already on supervised release after a 2018 conviction for carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. He was arrested again on May 7, 2025, for a related violation and remains in federal custody.
