Newly installed Kellie Sloane has been bombarded by organised protesters on her first day as NSW Liberal leader in Parramatta, western Sydney.
The protesters interrupted her press conference on Saturday morning and accused her of not caring about western Sydney and being a leader for “billionaires”.
The Vaucluse MP was also accused of not doing enough about the war in Gaza.
Ms Sloane appeared to handle the expletive-ridden outbursts quite well and insisted she was happy to “have hard conversations”.
The new NSW Opposition Leader also tried to reach out and talk one-on-one with the demonstrators.
Meanwhile, Palestine Action Group organiser Damian Ridgwell was among the protesters and ambushed Ms Sloane, claiming she “didn’t care about western Sydney”.
