A new restaurant is coming to a Cotswolds town and it should be open in time for Christmas.

You Me and Umami is being launched in Lechlade in what was once the Red Lion pub back in 1881.

Owner Foyez Rahman, who also runs Sasa's Indian Kitchen and Bar in Crudwell, Wiltshire, will launch his inaugural pan-Asian venture in the historic high street building in December.

Foyez said: "Since we announced our plans and started looking for local staff, Lechlade has been extremely supportive and welcoming to myself and my family."

He added: "It is the food I have come to love, in the UK and on my travels and I think Lechlade, the surrounding area, the Cotswolds will really like it.
