Lucy Pittaway, an artist who has seven galleries across the North-East, North Yorkshire and the Lake District, has revealed her new collection.

The Ladies Collection includes a series of six figurative paintings inspired by Ms Pittaway's memories of sketching women in gowns at her mum’s dress shop.

The Yorkshire-based artist is recognised for her style featuring landscapes, nature, garden and animals.

Ms Pittaway said: "The idea began years ago when I spent time in my mum’s wedding dress and flower shop, modelling gowns and sketching women in sweeping dresses whenever I could.

"Those early drawings stayed with me, even as life and my art moved in other directions."

Ms Pittaway, said that recent life events reignited the concept.
