A stunning Victorian building has been saved from ruin. 657 Borough Road in Birkenhead dates back to the 1880s. It is a four-storey building with detailed tiles and columns from the period, complete with high ceilings, views across Birkenhead and an adjacent 'coach house' on the same site.
From 1983, the property was used as the Merseyside Bridge Centre until the club moved out in 2017. After that, the building fell into disrepair and it even failed to attract bidders at two separate auctions.
This changed when Ellie Brannigan, co-founder of the Better Build Property Group , spotted that the site was up for sale nine months ago.
