BIDAR: About 30 passengers of a KKRTC bus had a miraculous escape after a lorry collided with a KKRTC bus from behind, pushing it towards a ditch, narrowly avoiding a major accident in Basavakalyan town.

The impact shattered the bus’s window glass. The bus was carrying over 30 passengers from Basavakalyan to Kalaburagi.

In a similar incident on Friday, a bus had a narrow escape near Erandagi village in Basavakalyan when its brakes failed, and over 50 passengers, including students, were saved by escaping through the emergency door. The recent incident has raised concerns about road safety, especially with KSRTC buses involved in such close calls.
