In a major step toward regulating passenger transport and improving public mobility, the Kangpokpi District Taxi Owners and Drivers Association was formally launched today at Saparmeina, marking a new chapter in the district’s transport landscape.

The inauguration ceremony, held in the presence of community leaders, transport stakeholders and representatives from various civil bodies, underscored the need for a unified, disciplined and accountable transport framework in Kangpokpi district.

Rev. Onthang Haokip, Pastor of Centre Church Salem Village, Saparmeina, formally inaugurated the association and offered special prayers for its journey ahead.
