The Special Intensive Revision (SIR), a voter-list clean-up drive launched by the Election Commission, is underway in nine states and three Union territories in its second phase. During the process, which will continue till December 4, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will go house-to-house at least thrice for the distribution and collection of enumeration forms.

The states where the exercise is currently underway are Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The second phase will also cover Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
