Southampton fans chanted 'you're getting sacked in the morning' at former boss Nathan Jones after going 4-0 up against his Charlton side.

The Saints, who are still managed by interim boss Tonda Eckert, raced into a four-goal lead inside just 22 minutes against the Addicks at the Valley.

Goals from Ryan Manning, Adam Armstrong, Caspar Jander and Finn Azaz in eight first-half minutes put Southampton in dreamland against the south Londoners.

And it didn't take long for their fans to take aim at Jones in the Charlton dug-out, who endured a nightmare spell in charge at St Mary's between 2022 and 2023.

The Welshman was sacked after just four months in charge on the south coast, after leaving the Saints bottom of the Premier League.
