State pensioners can get extra money from the Department of Work and Pensions if they meet one of four or more conditions, currently worth £110 per week, or nearly £6,000 a year.
The DWP currently gives you up to £110.40 per week for Attendance Allowance - and it’s not means-tested. That means that regardless of how much income you have, how much you have in savings or what else you own, you will still be eligible for the full benefit worth up to about nearly £6,000 a year in cash payments from the DWP .
The benefit is claimable by anone who needs help with personal care due to an illness or disability. There are two different weekly rates, and how much you get depends on how much help you need day to day.
