A shocking case of hooliganism has emerged from Bhopal, where nearly 20 men barged into a gated colony and brutally assaulted four young men with sticks over what police say was a minor argument following a car collision.

Visuals from the spot showed the assailants knocking the young men to the ground and mercilessly beating them for nearly 10 minutes before fleeing.

According to Sub-Inspector Harish Gujarbhoj, the dispute began late Friday night when Shekhar, son of private college professor Vishakha Srivastava, was passing by a temple with his friends. Their car accidentally brushed against another vehicle, triggering an argument between the two groups.

Police reached the spot soon after and pacified both sides, following which everyone dispersed.
