SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame will honor its senior players before Saturday’s game, including tight end Justin Fisher, a Mishawaka High School graduate.
Fisher first gained recognition in Michiana as Mishawaka High School’s quarterback, leading the team’s offense. However, his connection to the program began much earlier.
“He was our ball boy as far back as like 2012 when we made a run to the state championship game. So, goodness he would’ve been 8 years old, a second grader at the time,” said Keith Kinder, Mishawaka High School head football coach.
Growing up around the program prepared Fisher to become one of the area’s most dedicated high school players, according to Kinder.
