Duke Energy’s World of Energy in Seneca will celebrate the 13th annual Festival of Trees starting Nov. 28.
The education center’s lobby will be filled with two dozen trees decorated by local businesses, civic organizations and nonprofits to celebrate the holiday season.
The event continues through Jan. 2, 2026, and is open to the public during special festival hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite trees, and the three trees with the most votes will receive $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000, respectively, for their selected nonprofit.
The public is also encouraged to drop off canned goods or personal hygiene items during the festival to support those in need in Oconee County. Anyone who brings in donations will receive a free re
