New Delhi: The Congress has launched a scathing attack on the retired civil servants, judges, army officers and diplomats who accused Rahul Gandhi of tarnishing the Election Commission’s image.

The principal opposition party alleged that many of those who targeted Rahul are either members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), while some face “grave corruption cases”.

The Congress’s official account on ‘X’ also made posts attacking the signatories—16 former judges, 123 former civil servants and 133 former officers of the armed forces.
