Bhubaneswar: A minor girl, who went missing on November 18 from Baghamari area, was found in a critical condition a day later at district headquarters hospital in Odisha’s Khurda.

She was later shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar as her condition deteriorated. ADVERTISEMENT

The girl’s family, who lodged a missing complaint at Baghamari police station on November 19, alleged that she was abducted while on her way to college by three persons in a car and then raped. A male friend of the girl is one of the suspects.

Source said that Khurda SP has formed a special squad to probe the case. Police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas, and have reportedly detained two persons for questioning.

Police are yet to issue any official statement on the matter.
