Matthew Lillard is set to star in Mike Flanagan's forthcoming Carrie series, with the star raving about his "love" of working with the "fantastic director." Flanagan's show is set to adapt Stephen King's popular novel for Amazon Prime, bringing Carrie White's story to new audiences. The horror novel has been adapted several times, most notably by director Brian De Palma in 1976. However, Flanagan's take is expected to be a reimagining of the story, allowing the character to thrive in long-form media, with a series able to flesh out elements a movie may have skipped.
