LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A woman has been arrested and charged with murder following a Friday night homicide, police say.
Around 8:40 p.m. Friday, Louisville Metro Police responded on reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Cedar Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Saturday morning, police announced that they had arrested the woman they say shot the man.
Maria Swann, 25, was arrested and charged with Murder – Domestic Violence.
According to court documents, Swann admitted to shooting a gun in the direction of the man during a verbal altercation.
Court documents say Swann and the victim were living together and were in a relationship at the time of the murder.
