BAY VILLAGE, Oh. - What does it look like when a need, a vision, and resourceful students come together? Theresa Flamos, Bay Middle School’s 7th grade science teacher knows.

“It is such an important concept to help out your neighbor, and sometimes this concept is forgotten. It is through giving that we receive,” Flamos affirms.

As part of 7th Grade Town Council, Flamos assists in the coordination of the annual Bay Middle School “Rake Out”.

Started in the late 1990’s by Julia Papcke-Russell, an 8th grade math teacher at Bay Middle School, ‘The Great BMS Rake Out’ aimed to show Bay Village residents that, middle school students were indeed an asset to the community.
