Joe Cole has heaped praise on Andrey Santos after the Chelsea midfielder deputised for Moises Caicedo in the 2-0 win over Burnley.

Santos was handed a start in midfield at Turf Moor on Saturday after Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca opted to rest Caicedo following his exploits for Ecuador during the international break .

The Brazilian went on to impress against Burnley, being named the Player of the Match by TNT Sports as goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez secured the Blues’ third Premier League victory in a row .

Speaking after the game, Cole singled out Santos after being impressed by how smoothly the midfielder filled in for Caicedo.
