It has been a long journey for Kaytron Allen.
The senior running back’s Penn State career is winding down. There are two games left in the Nittany Lions’ regular season.
Allen, a 1,000-yard performer in 2024, has 917 rushing yards in 2025 entering Penn State’s Big Ten matchup with Nebraska tonight at Beaver Stadium.
He is 83 yards away from a second consecutive 1,000-yard season. But 83 isn’t the number on the minds of Allen and his Penn State teammates.
It is 139.
Coming off a career-high 181-yard performance in the Lions’ win at Michigan State last Saturday, Allen needs 50 yards to pass Saquon Barkley for the No. 2 spot on Penn State’s all-time rushing list.
And Allen is 139 yards away from passing Evan Royster to become the Lions’ all-time rushing leader.
