BERESFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced on Saturday that the Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting on Friday night involving a Beresford Police Department officer.
According to Jackley’s office, a Beresford Police officer was conducting a traffic stop at around 8:50 p.m. in the parking lot of the Truck Towne Travel Plaza on Highway 46 in Beresford.
The shooting reportedly took place during the traffic stop. Further details of the incident were not released at this time.
