The Christmas season is officially underway.

The Shoppes at Eastchase got things started Friday with its annual Magical Christmas Parade.

This year’s grand marshal was State Representative Reed Ingram from Pike Road.

Along with members of the area fire and police departments, several organizations and high school marching bands were featured in this year’s parade through the heart of Eastchase.

Action 8’s Carrington Cole and Cameron Lejeune were also there in Thunder Truck throwing out candy and Christmas-themed rubber ducks.

The parade wrapped up with a visit from Santa himself, then the shopping center held its tree lighting ceremony immediately after.
