BENGALURU: Namma Metro is the lifeline of Bengaluru with about nine lakh passengers travelling on it every day. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) is setting up commercial stalls at stations and renting them to generate income. Now, while trying to set up such a commercial store, they have received a notice from the Horticulture Department.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has started construction of a commercial store next to the Cubbon Park Metro station near Vidhana Soudha. As soon as the construction was started, the Horticulture Department issued a notice to stop the work questioning why it was being done and whose permission was obtained.
