After ET first reported the proposed legislation on Friday, AAP MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney said the new law would give Chandigarh "administration rules similar to Lakshadweep and others" and potentially allow it to have an "independent administrator." The Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill has been listed for the winter session beginning December 1. Before being introduced in Parliament, it must receive Union Cabinet approval.
